Directing....Ch.8

behind again....i apologize to the readers of my blog that i have not been blogging lately....
let's see....hmmm, where did i leave off......
***the following class i believe we discussed Ch.8 on the director and producer involvement....being someone not too familiar with this theater thing, i never knew all the technical definitioning of the producer and the director....i just always saw them as the people who get paid to come up with ideas, and then they are to find people who "look" good doing the roles. through my reading i saw that the term director didn't even come into play until the 19th century, and way to somewhat keep the plays organized...or enhance them. i also learned a new term, "auteur director"....i've taken french before and knew what it meant, but never knew it was a theater term used when the the director was the auther of the film....i enjoyed the rest of the reading, especially when i saw the visual aides that were used...like the theater director chart. i'm such a visual person, and when i saw that i saw how much can really go into a performance***
